Markus has 7 years of experience in management consulting. Before taking on a professional career he completed double university degrees – MSc in Industrial Engineering from Chalmers University of Technology and Management and BSc in Business Administration from Gothenburg School of Economics.

He has engaged in a vast range of industries, primarily Automotive & Commercial Vehicles, Industrial products, and Healthcare. Several clients have appreciated Markus’ support in driving increased profitability and substantial improvements in performance, e.g. projects including hands on corporate turnarounds, business strategy, cost reduction transformations, and sourcing / vendor selection strategies / programs.

Regardless of role, project or industry he is passionate about structuring and hence solving strategic problems to create step change improvements and enduring impact while working closely with clients.

Prior to CHORD, Markus has worked at McKinsey & Company and Claesson & Partners. Alongside consulting, Markus also co-founded Tampah Hills – a world unique entrepreneurial real estate project in Lombok, Indonesia.
